Siblings Mel (drums) and LJ (guitar and vocals) have been jamming together as Zebedee since 2000, but it was not until 2009, when Shawn (bass) joined, the The Inside Job was born.

Operating out of beautiful city of Paarl (only an hour from Cape Town) in sunny South Africa, this three piece operates on a simple format: LJ writes the lyrics and a basic melody, and the band gets together and makes the rest of the magic. And magic it is!

When asked what music means to them they were precise and to the point:

It is an outlet. Like swearing when you are angry or a shoulder when you feel sad. Nothing is like it, an universal language that doesn’t need translation.

They’re a hardworking outfit, with great music and aspirations to tour the world.

And while they are smashing out great tunes, they are well on their way. We’re honoured to have them onboard as a Kartweel Insider artist!
